The Computer Programming Network Scholarship
Scholarship Information
The CPN Scholarship idea was put together in February of 2020 and its purpose is to assist in funding the education of a high school student seeking a certificate/degree in a Computer Science field.
- Each year in July the scholarship funding is assessed, then determined if it can be applied to the cost of the first year of a degree.
- Each year in August, high schools across the country are given a chance to allow their seniors to qualify for the scholarship.
- A student is picked every February and if accepted, is then given a list of accredited Computer Science schools.
- Qualifications greatly consider a student's GPA and overall academic performance. However, much attention is focused on their performance in Mathematics and Science.
- If a student declines the scholarship, it will then be passed to the next qualifying student.
As of July 2020, we are still in the stages of ensuring that funding is available before presenting the opportunity to students. This relies heavily on donations. However, we continually plan and work events to help raise the program funds.
As the world continually moves towards a life of technology, the CPN Scholarship can help today's youth prepare for the life and jobs of tomorrow.
